WELLESLEY — Kitchener-Conestoga MPP Michael Harris said a gap in the legislation needs to be fixed to ensure the townships don’t lose their experienced firefighters for fear of not receiving adequate benefits if diagnosed with cancer. “It’s a gamble people are not willing to take and who can blame them,” Harris said. “This is a public safety issue,” said Harris, who plans to hold a round-table discussion in Wellesley on Friday with firefighters.” Read More
