Milloy must answer for Liberal waste and mismanagement

KITCHENER – Liberal MPP John Milloy must answer for nine years of reckless overspending by the Liberal government which has created a made-in-Ontario jobs and debt crisis, Ontario PC MPP Michael Harris said today.

“In the midst of a jobs and debt crisis, the Liberals decided to abandon Ontario, shutting down parliament to escape another scandal,” Harris said. “With the doors shut, they’ve put a government that wasn’t doing its job on autopilot, leaving overspending to continue unchecked and the debt to accumulate.”

On behalf of 600,000 Ontarians in search of work, Tim Hudak and the PC Caucus have repeatedly called on Dalton McGuinty and the Ontario Liberals to change course and to recall the Legislature, so MPPs can get back to work.

“The Ontario PCs want to get on with the job, of helping to create jobs.” The Ontario PCs recently launched a petition pressuring the McGuinty Liberals to get back to work. If you want to send a message to government to get back to work sign our petition at

“I encourage all Kitchener-Centre residents – including John Milloy – to add their names to our petition and tell the Ontario Liberals to reopen the Legislature.”

Unlike the Liberals hiding from scandal and responsibility, Tim Hudak and the Ontario PC Caucus want to get to work. That’s why they brought forward Paths to Prosperity: An Agenda for Growth – the latest discussion paper which proposes 15 bold, new ideas to create jobs.

Harris concluded “the path to jobs and economic prosperity runs through Kitchener-Centre but it’s going to take urgent action to help residents find good-paying jobs.”
